The Hype Beast Says Boxing Has Gone Soft And He Just Wants To Talk Big And Fight
THE HYPE BEAST. Uncle Beast has pulled up a couch, looked down the barrel of the lens and declared that boxing is turning into a wellness retreat. Absolute scenes.
His case, in his own words: "There's a lot of good athletes in boxing, not a lot of good fighters." He reckons plenty of blokes are surrounded by yes men, more than he has "when I'm shouting beers at the pub on a Saturday."
Then he gets into the training habits. Breathing coaches, ice baths and all, and still, he says, some of them "perform like an old car" and break down after five rounds. His fix is gloriously simple: stretch properly, sleep right and spar very hard.
He signs off by calling the rest of it Instagram models with a mouth guard, and says he just talks big and loves to fight. "Let's go, let's try it."
That is a standing invitation to anyone in the Australian scene who reckons they've got the cardio. Gloves up, mates.
At press time, Krakjaw's own training plan was stretch, sleep and spar. Early results are promising.
