GC SCRAPS. Two fights in four weeks, and the latest came on three days' notice. That is the run Bonnie's World, who goes by Beck, brought to GC Scraps, and she walked away from the night proud of showing up even though the result did not go her way.

Speaking to Qual Performance after the bout, she said she keeps taking short-notice fights because she likes to challenge herself. She also won on the Banakul card during the same stretch, and she started fighting only in August.

She was open about why she fights. Beck said she came to the sport because of domestic violence, and that getting out of that relationship is the adversity she is proudest of overcoming. Stepping up at GC Scraps after a loss at IVC, she said, was a lot, and it showed her once again that she can do it.

What comes next is open. She plans to recover first, and her wish is a spot on the South Africa card for Banakul in December.
