He Wants To Trade Real Punches With A Humanoid Robot, So His Missus Asked A Chatbot If He Would Survive

One fight with an AI robot is organised, and one fighter is already picturing himself in there with it.

The plan, as told in the video, is simple: stand in with the machine and bang properly. No patty-cake, no touching gloves and walking away. He wants to lay hands on it and see how it goes, because everyone else is playing it safe.

His missus had other ideas. She put the question to a chatbot, and the answer came back in black and white. Trading full-force punches with a humanoid robot, it said, could cause facial fractures, eye damage, broken bones or a serious brain injury, and depending on how hard it hits, those injuries could be fatal. A 60-second fight in his style, it added, could have life-changing consequences.

He took it on the chin, and by his own telling she called him the dumbest person ever for even thinking about it. Then he handed the decision to the people who matter: do he fight it or not?

The chatbot has voted no. The missus has voted no. Everyone who loves a fighter with more heart than sense is now picking a side.
